Good Life’s Country Christmas Magic (Simba) is a dog from our C litter that lives on the West Coast. Simba has grown into a very special boy. Nick and I flew out to California in 2010 for our National Specialty with a very special little bundle.Simba was perfect on the plane, and didn’t make a peep that night in the hotel room, his first away from his littermates and mama. We entrusted this precious pup to Joanna, and she has done everything we could’ve asked, from showing him to helping him grow into a true service animal for her mother. Below is a bit about Simba, from the one who knows him best.
Simba, has been a part of our family since he was 8 weeks old and I can truly say he has changed our lives! Simba has such a wonderful character, he is loving, loyal, smart, and always happy. He earned his puppy star obedience medal at a young age and then went on to pass his TDI Certification before reaching one year of age, then he followed that up by becoming licensed by the state of California as a service assistance dog for my mom by the time he was only one year old.
Through his visits at hospices, hospitals as a therapy dog, as well as all his travels assisting mom at a wide range of locations from local shops and restaurants to Disneyland, Yellowstone and Yosemite National Parks, Las Vegas Casinos, and countless other outings Simba has been a wonderful representation of all that a Leonberger can and should be.
Due to his wonderful bloodlines we have also started showing Simba and he is doing very well on the show circuit; he gets as many comments for how happy he is at dog shows as he does for what a nice dog he is. Simba is a champion in our lives and we are truly blessed to call him family.
